First Recipe

when i was still at Jakarta, my mom usually cooked mapo tofu in her style, and now when I'm studying here, i love to cook it too. I taught to my cousin how to cook it, and it becomes her favorite weekly menu :P

Mapo Tofu

Ingredients:

3 cloves minced garlic
1/2 pound Ground pork/chicken/beef (i prefer pork the most)
6 cubes Tofu
6-8 Tbs oyster sauce
salt
pepper
3 Tbs pork/chicken/beef broth (optional)
1 spring onion (cut it into 1/2 cm length)

How to make it:
1. first, put the minced garlic into the wok until you can smell the garlic
2. put the ground pork and wait until it almost well-done
3. put the tofu into the wok, and scramble it (like you scramble an egg), until it has cut into pieces
4. put the oyster sauce, pepper and salt and mix it
5. after the oyster has blended well with the tofu and pork, put the spring onion, and it's done

ps: put medium heat when you cook it

Hm.... where should I start my first blog?

I'm writing my first blog in english, but probably next i will write some blogs in indonesian :). I love gossiping and cooking so the next blog i will mainly discuss about hot gossip both indonesia's and hollywood's gossips (yey!) and I will post and discuss nice recipes that i have tried it or i'm interested to try it :).

Now i'm telling you some basic ideas about me and my first job :P, if you find it interested, you can continue to read my blog

well, basically I'm a student at a university who hates writing subject the most... (then why I'm writing a blog now?! :) ), I'm trying to become an A student but ended up become a B student (does it sound familiar to almost all of you or probably just some of you eh?:P

last year's school term, I was kinda screwed up with my school stuff, I worked and went to school at the same time, lot of my friends told me to stop working due to expensive tuition fee (hey!why Canada's government never helps international student!), there's no point for me to keep working while my grade is falling down. hm... there are some reasons that make me cannot stop working:

1. my dad didn't allow me (he has an idea that it's hard to find a job today, so "DONT QUIT FROM YOUR JOB!")
2. i love money too much (it's still good to get $12/hour)
3. i could spend a lot of money and didn't feel guilty

but this summer which is summer 2008, i partly quit from my job. Now, I'm working just twice a MONTH not a WEEK. oh! i forgot to mention what actually was my job... i was working as an administrative assistant at a small office. I did a LOT of invoices, data entries, balancing, FILING (OH NO!), and still lot of lists to do. I was doing everything there, even did the cleaning stuff. My office job is doing people's tax and charging them as expensive as possible.

Anyway,
i have to go back studying. still lot of stuff to study, hope i can get good grade in this term , wish me luck guys :)
